Kenny Chesney co-wrote "Take Me There," originally for himself.
But, when it didn't find a home on his new album, he suggested it be pitched to Rascal Flatts. No surprise that they're grateful to get to record that's now their latest #1 hit.
Jay DeMarcus says,"Take Me There," was written by Kenny Chesney and Neal Thrasher and Wendell Mobley, and it was the very last song we cut for the record, when we heard it we knew immediately it was a Rascal Flatts' tune and we're proud to be the ones to sing it. I guess Kenny tried to cut it for his record and it didn't turn out as well as it could and he thought about us immediately and we're grateful to him for that."
