LOS ANGELES, CA Monday Oct.15.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- John Lydon, best known by the alias Johnny Rotten, of the Sex Pistols, says he loved the Guitar Hero game as soon as he saw it. When the band was approached to provide tracks "Pretty Vacant" and "Anarchy in the UK" for Guitar Hero III, they jumped at the chance. Problem was, the masters for their records were nowhere to be found. So John, guitarist Steve Jones, and drummer Paul Cook got together in a recording studio and did them all over again. He said that session ate up any profits they would've made from being included in the game, but they're not in it for the money anyway.

Although the band's got a reunion tour in the works - John says it's less of a reunion than just getting together every so often to play again - Lydon spends most of his time these days on television projects, like European nature programs and documentaries.
