If the rock quartet hit one million they will join a handful of Australian bands who have sold that many records; AC/DC, INXS, Savage Garden, John Farnham and Men At Work.
Elektra, their label, is said to have made Jet their number one priority which will, most likely mean sales, sales, and sales.
"Are You Gonna Be My Girl" is a huge hit for the band, but US Radio has discovered an album track, "Cold Hard Bitch" which is currently being rush-released as the next single.
Add to this, the fact that drummer/vocalist, Chris Cester, was also ranked eighth coolest in the music world by the venerable British music rag, NME.
