DETROIT, MI Wednesday Mar.3.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Following Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin's arrest in Toledo last week, Minnesota State University officials have cancelled the band's March 29th show at the on-campus Taylor Center. Scantlin appeared onstage in Toledo drunk, hurled epithets at the crowd, and was ultimately arrested on disorderly conduct-intoxication charges.

Earl Mack of the Ohio Department of Public Safety says officers feared Scantlin's conduct would spark a riot, and Minnesota State President Richard Davenport said, "Clearly that kind of behavior is disconcerting, to say the least."

Added Kelly Meier, director of MSU's Student Leadership Development and Service Learning office, "Safety is our first and foremost concern."
