DETROIT, MI Tuesday Mar.30.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- The Carling Weekend festivals in Leeds and Reading in the UK have announced The White Stripes as a headlining band at the late-summer festival. The concerts take place over the weekend of August 27-29, and will also feature performances by The Darkness, Morrisey, The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, Ash, The Hives, 50 Cent, The Streets, The Offspring, Green Day, and Lostprophets. More acts will be announced in coming weeks.
