DETROIT, MI Wednesday Apr.7.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- One of Hobastank's favorite pastimes is inventing stories to explain their made-up name. One such yarn involves a drunk at a ball game, standing up and slurring, "Man! Who butt stank!?"

As lead singer Doug Rob explains, it's all a bunch of hooey. "The first year we were out we probably gave out a hundred different answers to that question to have fun with it. We try not to take ourselves too seriously. But really, the name doesn't mean anything to us other than it being the title of the band."
