NEW YORK, NY Thursday Aug.26.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- In Blender magazine's September issue, Avril Lavigne describes a bad experience she once had in a record store.

The "Don't Tell Me" singer says that people are usually nice to her when she meets them on the street. But Lavigne recalls one time when a guy was talking trash about her in a record store. The 19-year-old ignored him and sensibly left the store. But, says Lavigne, "He came outside and started again, so I grabbed him and was like, 'What'd ya say?' Then he mouthed off at me again, so I kneed him really hard in the b---s. Then I threw him -- he went flying. His little punk girlfriend comes up, like, 'What...are you doing?' I'm like, 'What...are you doing?' They both ran off."

Adds the super tough Lavigne, "That's not how I usually deal with that stuff, but that day I was wearing my army pants and boots and tank top, and I was just like, 'Don't talk to me like that.'"
