MIAMI, FL. Thursday Aug.26.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- This weekend will be a hot one in Miami, as the stars come out for the MTV Video Music Awards. Adding to that hotness, MTV2 has just announced that the Beastie Boys will headline the annual benefit show for Lifebeat, the nonprofit group that works to prevent HIV/AIDS in America's youth.

"MTV Presents: A Lifebeat Benefit" takes place this Saturday, August 28, and De La Soul, DJ AM and DJ Samantha Ronson join the Beastie Boys on the concert bill. The action happens at South Beach's Crobar Nighclub at 9 pm, ET.

The event is 21 and over, and tickets cost between $35 for General Admission up to $250 for Platinum VIP. Fans can buy tickets today, August 26, at MTV's VMA Take Over on Cocowalk. Tickets can also be bought at the VMA Block Parties on Friday, August 27 and Saturday, August 28. The Crobar Nightclub Box Office at http://www.wanttickets.com will also sell tickets to the Lifebeat Benefit concert.
