Duran Duran guitarist won't be able to tour until 2005.
LOS ANGELES, CA Tuesday Nov.30.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Duran Duran's Andy Taylor spent a week at home in bed last month recuperating from exhaustion. Unfortunately, Taylor has become ill again, and doctors are ordering rest for the Duran Duran guitarist. This means Taylor won't be joining the band for its holiday radio show performances in December. Duran Duran's official Web site says the ailing Taylor "won't be able to resume work with Duran Duran until the New Year," when the band plans to launch a 2005 world tour in late January.
Taylor's condition "remains without a specific diagnosis" but doctors expect a full recovery as long as Taylor rests and takes it easy the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, a stand-in guitarist will join Nick, Simon, John and Roger for any scheduled live dates and promotional activities until Andy can return.
