ST. BERNARD PARISH, LA Wednesday Nov.30.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- According to newsstar.com, Tim McGraw was in Louisiana yesterday to assist with the Amazon.com hurricane relief effort, acting as celebrity spokesperson for the fundraising effort for victims of Katrina and Rita.

McGraw, a native son of Richland Parish, spoke at St. Bernard Parish City Hall/Civil Center. He also meet with first responders and with people who lost their homes in the flooding that followed the hurricane.

The event launched the Amazon.com A-list for Hurricane Relief, which Amazon describes as a partnership between it and several celebrities who will raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations that are hurricane victims over the holidays.
